Calvin Nyapete is Sr. Product Sales Specialist/Scientist with the Digital Chemistry Solutions team at MilliporeSigma. He received his B. Sc. degree in Chemistry from Principia College, Elsah, IL; he then continued at St. Louis University, completing his Ph.D. degree whilst working under the supervision of Prof. Steven Buckner and Paul Jelliss in the field of energy science in efforts directed on the development and application of novel high energy density nanomaterials and nanocomposites. Following graduation, Calvin joined MilliporeSigma as Sr. Technical Services Scientist within the Customer Excellence group he was responsible for providing recommendations, application support, and technical troubleshooting for complex product inquiries from both internal and external customers within North and Latin America. He moved from MilliporeSigma to Sion Power Corp (Tucson, AZ) in 2021 where he was a Sr. Analytical & R/D Scientist responsible for specialized R&D projects focused on lithium-ion battery anode materials technology development for three years before returning to MilliporeSigma for his current role.
